Comments on operating fee methodology, robocalls due in September

August 23, 2023
NCUA LOGO

Comments are due in late August and September for several proposals and requests for information of interest to credit unions.

Feedback is due Aug. 28 to NCUA on its interpretive ruling and policy statement on its Minority Depository Institution Preservation Program.

The proposal would reflect the transfer of the MDI preservation program administration from the agency’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion to its Office of Credit Union Resources and Expansion, update the program’s features, and clarify the requirements for a credit union to receive and maintain an MDI designation.

Comments are due Sept. 5 on NCUA’s request for comment on adjustments to the methodology the Office of the Chief Financial Officer uses to determine how it apportions operating fees charged to federal credit unions.

Other upcoming comment deadlines include:

  • Sept. 8: Federal Communications Commission proposal on advanced methods to target and eliminate unlawful robocalls.
  • Sept. 19: NCUA     interagency guidance on reconsiderations of value of residential real estate valuations
  • Sept. 29: Department of Housing and Urban Development proposal on modernization of engagement with mortgagors in default.
