A group of five credit union CEOs from Washington – in coordination with the GoWest Credit Union Association — had a roundtable discussion with Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-Wash.-6). The meeting was held Tuesday over the August recess.
Credit union priorities discussed included raised concerns with the interchange bill, debunking “junk fee” myths, and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). GoWest and CEOs shared with Congressman Kilmer that credit unions provide 92% of all loan dollars leveraged by CDFI grants.
