With the Senate in Washington, D.C., this week and the House scheduled to return next week, CUNA sent its final recess message to all members of Congress Tuesday. CUNA shared information on the credit union difference, fields of membership, interchange legislation opposition, and more during the recess.
“Credit unions focus on helping their member-owners—your constituents—to remain stable in challenging times like these,” wrote CUNA Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Federal Government Affairs Jason Stverak. “Two-thirds of Americans—187 million people—are ‘financially unhealthy’ according to the Financial Health Network. Credit unions want to change that.”
