CBDC, Basel III hearings scheduled this week in Congress

The House and Senate are back in Washington, D.C., this week, with the House to consider Department of Defense appropriations and the Senate to resume consideration of executive nominations.
The House Financial Services Subcommittee will conduct a hearing on Central Bank Digital Currencies Thursday at 2 p.m. ET. "“Digital Dollar Dilemma: The Implications of a Central Bank Digital Currency and Private Sector Alternatives," will be streamed live on the committee's website.

Wednesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access hearing, “Enabling Success: Examining the Competitive Landscape for Small Businesses."
Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy hearing, “Implementing Basel III: What's the Fed's Endgame?"
