CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, who will lead America’s Credit Unions should members approve the proposed merger, provided an update on NAFCU and CUNA staff who will spearhead key transformation teams during the process.
Nussle previously announced that NAFCU COO Anthony Demangone and CUNA COO Jill Tomalin will co-lead the Transformation Steering Group. Eleven initial teams have been identified to bring the best of both organizations together to form the new association.
“These teams will oversee specific workstreams to ensure the best of both organizations’ products, services, events, processes, and cultures are reflected in the transformation process,” Nussle said in his message to member credit unions. “Following a disciplined management process to ensure success, team members will not only work together, but hold each other accountable while remaining focused on you, your needs, and your desire to see a brand-new organization – not a CUNA 2.0 or NAFCU 2.0.”
The teams and leaders are listed below.
Nussle continues to meet with credit union leaders to learn how America’s Credit Unions can best serve the industry, listen to concerns, and share his vision for the new organization. He will also host virtual forums with member CEOs in the coming weeks.
The member vote on the merger is open until 5 p.m. ET Nov. 1.
