The Maine Credit Union League has created a fundraiser to support first responders and the community following a shooting that left 18 people dead in Lewiston, Maine. Authorities spent nearly two days after the Oct. 25 shooting searching for the suspect, who was found dead Oct. 27.
The Maine Credit Union League's Campaign for Ending Hunger is directing funds to the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s 501(c)(3) Foundation.
Funds raised through this effort will be used to feed first responders and other community organizations helping to get food in the hands of those in need.
