The West Virginia Credit Union League--in addition to their Congressional visits--hosted Consumer Financial Protection Bureau )(CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra.
"“We appreciate Director Chopra’s engaging dialogue with our credit union leaders this past week. It is essential that the CFPB understand the real impact that regulations have on West Virginia’s credit unions," said West Virginia Credit Union League President/CEO Rich Schaffer. "Moreover, we were encouraged by the CFPB’s desire to meet with each League to discuss the history and mission of credit unions that have put people ahead of profit, despite shifts in the economy.”
During a busy week in Washington, credit union advocates met with federal elected officials and regulators to share the credit union advantage. Thanks to our members of Congress for their support! pic.twitter.com/j0y7pHDl3N
