The nominations period for two special elections for the CUNA Board has passed. Electronic ballots will be sent to credit unions in District 6, Class B, and Class C, nationwide, on April 23. Results will be available – and candidates will officially take office – on May 14.

World Council of Credit Unions has opened registration for the annual World Credit Union Conference to be held virtually from July 14-21. More than 1,500 credit union executives and volunteers from over 60 countries are expected to attend.
CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council celebrated Diamond Awards Week by announcing winners in 35 categories through a series of daily virtual award ceremonies. Turnout was outstanding for this year’s award competition with 1,278 entries submitted.
Credit union HR professionals can learn to apply the latest HR regulations at CUNA HR Compliance Certification Virtual School with CUDoctor August 3 and 5. The school also provides an opportunity to earn or recertify a CUNA Credit Union HR Compliance Professional (CUHRCP) designation.
Filene Research Institute will lead research on a project to measure the DEI advancements of the credit union industry and identify which practices correlate to improved firm performance. Credit unions are encouraged to fill out the survey to help create a baseline around DEI practices.
The Illinois Credit Union League announced the margin threshold has been surpassed for the State’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, entitling state-chartered credit unions to an nearly $840,000 in the form of a regulatory fee credit. Credits provided to credit unions over the last decade have exceeded $23 million.
