Amy Cuddy, an expert on the behavioral science of power, presence, and prejudice, says it’s important to “press the pause button” when emotions run high in interactions with others.

Amy Cuddy will open the third day of the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) with a keynote speech titled “Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges.”

The keynote, sponsored by Podium, will run from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. ET and include the social psychologist, bestselling author, and Harvard lecturer discussing how people can affect their own thoughts, feelings, performance, and well-being by intentionally becoming more present, influential, compassionate, and satisfied in their professional and personal lives.

An expert on the behavioral science of power, presence, and prejudice, Cuddy’s TED Talk, “Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are,” is the second-most popular TED Talk ever and was named by The Guardian as “One of 20 Online Talks that Could Change Your Life.”
