The closing general session of the 2022 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) will be held in Washington, D.C., from 9 to 11 a.m. ET Wednesday. The closing session is a conversation with CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle and a pair of former White House chief of staffs—Reince Priebus and Thomas “Mack” McLarty III.

McLarty advised Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush before serving as President Bill Clinton’s White House chief of staff. Priebus served as President Donald Trump’s chief of staff in 2017 and is the longest-serving chairman of the Republican National Committee in modern history, holding that position from 2011 until 2017.

GAC attendees will then head out for afternoon Hill Hikes, visiting Capitol Hill to advocate and discuss the credit union movement with policymakers.

The CUNA GAC Closing Party will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis Hotel Ballroom.
